Hammocks are Relaxing

Our backyard hammock is strung between a California pepper and a pine. It's lovely to get in with a view of the sky and trees, birds, squirrels and read or relax. This is a nylon hammock. I actually took a dive out of it in September last year when I was out of balance with a heavy quad combination Bible and phone in the other hand. I landed on the ground and was not happy with myself. Then there was the time in the backyard on Santiago Street when the branch busted and landed us in the sand surrounded by our drinks and snacks. I think Paul was with me in the hammock Evelania brought back from Costa Rica. I like hammocks.

Valentine's Day

I have the last Valentine I gave Michael on the mantle, from 2009. It happens to be a large UK Second Nature handmade one for Husband. Our family tradition was to make our own for each other from red and pink construction paper with white paper doilies. We danced at home to Hooked on Swing.

January 29, 1945, Tom Selleck

It looks like Tom turned 66 January 29. What a cutie. I doubt there's a Magnum P.I. I haven't seen. What a great show on a great island.

Clark Gable's Birthday Today

Clark Gable has been my favorite actor for decades. He was born 110 years ago today on February 1, 1901. I just realized Tom Selleck, another favorite of Magnum P.I. fame, bears a strong resemblance to him. I like their rugged good looks and builds.
