The office retreat to the San Francisco County Fair Building had me in the Arboretum before 7:30 a.m. for a lovely walk throughout, memories coming to me at every turn, where I'd taken my children over the years. After a delicious, satisfying lunch I walked to the Bandshell where we rode bikes for Thursday concerts. At the afternoon break I walked to Shakespeare Garden and read his quotes in bronze. All in all it was quite a treat to be in Golden Gate Park again, which happens too infrequently nowadays.
San Francisco Botanical Garden. We called it the Arboretum.
