I lived around the corner from the Palace of Fine Arts and frequently enjoyed walks there. Rose, a roommate and I lived on Lombard Street near the Presidio Gate before I left for Europe in 1968. A fond memory is witnessing a wedding party exit a white Rolls Royce for picture-taking on the grounds. How fortunate to have this beautiful edifice of the exposition as well as know where relics are. What a surprise to learn the concert at City Hall today was a celebration of the exposition. Ethnic dance included Indonesian, modern, and Swedish direct from Sweden. I met a lovely 90-year-old woman, Sonnie, who took pictures of the concert and of me too. She has no grandchildren! The exposition closed December 4 and there will be a closing concert at City Hall as well.
