Streetcar 1061



I have a favorite streetcar in the city. It's orange and dark orange. About a month ago I saw it while I was heading to Market Street and then again heading back. Today I was actually thinking about it, got to Market Street and looked across the intersection and there it was. So here's to 1061. Apparently I'm not alone in my affection. The Web is loaded with pictures of it. Here are several, coming and going. Today is the anniversary of the 1989 earthquake.

Hard to believe it's been 23 years already! But I'll never forget that day and the long days that followed! Do you ever just hop on that street car for a ride with a "friend?"
