Our 1989 Trip to Utah

In June 1989 we rented a car for our family road trip to Utah. We stayed with friends, visited Temple Square, This is the Place and other sights, BYU, the Kanosh grandmother, and Michael was sick most of the time and missed the 4th of July BBQ at the park once home, our tradition. The next road trip to Provo was to celebrate our daughter's college graduation.

Tahoe Hacienda Inn

We stayed a couple times at this inn set in from the busy main drag and enjoyed it alot, once with our sons and once the five of us. A pool, jacuzzi, picnic table, kitchenette, fun. An earlier summer Paul and I took the bus and spent several days at Tahoe before I had to go back to work. Sweet memories!

High School Reunions, Eating, and Dancing the Night Away

A Honeymoon in St. Helena, California, 11 December 1982

First a bed and breakfast, then a cottage in a vineyard. Within a week we returned home to San Francisco and spent our last honeymoon money to see The Man From Snowy River at the Alexandria on Geary.

Mary Smith Campground on Lewiston Lake

We had a blast driving into all the campgrounds and inns along Trinity Lake to see how they compared. It was such a fun time. And of course we visited the Old Schoolhouse where I attended school for a short time in Lewiston. We used wheelbarrows to get our camp gear to our chosen site.

Mt. Lassen

Michael and I climbed Lassen Peak during our camp trip there.

Crater Lake

Michael and I visited Crater Lake enjoying hiking along the perimeter. We returned another year with our daughter and sons for camping and hiking to the water for the boat ride with our sons. What a place of beauty.
